  • Keep Kid Busy with Safe, Educational Online Games while your baking

As homeschoolers, we’re always sharing reviews of our favorite educational websites! For example,

  1. JumpStart – We’ve been big fans since a fellow homeschooler tipped us in 6 years ago. We own nearly 2 dozen CDs, but the girls LOVE the JumpStart Virtual World much better. And, the 3 play with our closest homeschooler friends who live in Toledo, OH on a weekly basis.
  2. Habitat Heroes - Recommended for your adventurous, conscientious little ones, or 6 year old still jumps on once in awhile.
  3. Internet4Classrooms & StarFall – Can’t live without.
  • Want to Find Free Family Fun Field Trip to Celebrate the Week Together?

We always share our tips for finding free or low cost family fun outings!

  1. To learn how you can find free admissions to area museums, parks, factories, farms and more, check out this post.
  2. Are you over 62 years old? Get into State and National Parks for FREE.

  • Creative & Frugal Ways to Dress, Decorate & Give Gifts

  • Bake Bread! I just got the most wonderful call because I gave a dear friend and her husband (who I never met) fresh pita bread and butter buns yesterday as a little thank you gift. (She was the first one outside my family to share my fresh bread).

She couldn’t even put into words what her husband wanted to express to me…”the time, effort, thought…classic gift of love…bread has so much meaning…we, took the time to smell them first…I just can’t tell you what it was like…how we felt…how touched”…and, on top of all that: “They were delicious!”

Now, my girlfriend is very well spoken for, and this was the first time I heard her speechless. Really, I should say “word”-less, because she said they couldn’t find words to describe their feelings.

She knows I don’t want nor can I take on another job, but she said they we’re the best and totally sell-able. I replied, “Hah! Then, it’ll take away from the love I want to share with my family and close friends”. ;-) Then she closed with, “you know my husband doesn’t know you…so, he has no reason to try to make you feel good. But, he made sure I call you back today!” MashaAllah (God has willed).

Honestly, ever since I started making breads, jams, and other baked goods with my bread machine I’ve never received such warm appreciation. Breads are truly the best gifts for my family, and now my friends too. Try it out!

  • It’s Friday. So, Grab Some Freebies & Share Yours!
