Tapping into the $170 Billion Muslim-American Market with Halal Certification — Definitely a potential market for the food industry to take notice, as reported Nutrition Business Journal, ”A story in the March 2008 issue of the Halal Journal reported that the global Halal food market, which is currently worth an estimated $580 billion, will grow 7% annually.” Some headway is being made in Dearborn, Michigan; the most highly-dense Arab-American population in the country…as you know, not all Arabs are Muslim–but there are many ;-)
