Review: Salah Tracker for Kids iPhone App
After I was given the job of becoming American Muslim Mom’s iPhone app reviewer, I have been pleasantly surprised to discover there are SO many Islamic themed apps available out there.
One such app, Salah Tracker for Kids, is a cute way for parents to monitor their child’s praying habits. You can add each of your children, and a cute prayer rug is assigned to their name.
After your child performs a salah, you can choose either Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, or Isha, and “submit.” Then, the app adds this prayer as one that was prayed to a chart for that specific child. I’d suggest having your kids tap the “submit” button themselves so they can hear the cute du’aa being sung to them:
Masha’Allah. Allah has seen your righteous deed. May you be blessed. Ameen!
The song, sung in a child’s voice, along with other sound effects as well as the bright and happy colors makes this a nice tool to inspire your kids to perform a vital act incumbent on every mature and sane Muslim.
While this app wasn’t the perfect app for me personally (as I am an unmarried college student!), it seems like a cute encouragement for young parents who are currently teaching their kids to turn prayer into a regular habit.
This app has recently been made available for free! The creator of the app said she wanted kids to benefit from it Insha’Allah, without the price being a hindrance. Alhamdulillah! What a generous gift, Masha’Allah
Download the app today! Tell us what you and your kids think of the app in the comments section below!

Sounds like a good App to encourage prayers for kids. If you don’t mind me asking, how often do you do reviews on Islam themed Apps?

We don’t have a specific schedule pertaining to the app reviews as of now. If you have one you’d like us to check out, you can definitely send information through our contact page and we can communicate about it through email, Insha’Allah.

Jazakallah khair for this tip.
I have been trying to manually keep track of prayers and this sounds like a more efficient way to go!
Thanks
