Review and Giveaway: Noor Kids Children’s Book 4-Pack (Value $24.99)

| August 3, 2012 | Comments (17)

Noor Kids - Children's Books for Little MuslimsAs you know we’ve been working with Noor Kids for some time, and we’re giving away a 4-pack. They’re big supporters of the Eid Gift Guide, having shared this testimonial:

Mohammed Aaser of NoorKids.com states, “Noor Kids partnered with EidGiftGuide.com last year, and we have chosen to renew for this year. EidGiftGuide.com has helped us improve our SEO search results and has also helped us increase sales during Ramadan! We strongly encourage the partnership!”

5 Individual Books for Summer Islamic Reading Program Participants (Ages 3-8 years)

For the second year, Noor Kids is giving away five individual books for the Summer Islamic Reading Program for kids ages 3 to 8-years-old.

Many changes:

Noor Kids Children’s Book 4-Pack (Value $24.99) Giveaway

Books include:

  1. School Is Out for the Summer
  2. Noor Kids go to Hajj
  3. Noor Kids Discover their Blessings
  4. Honestly Speaking

Without being biased, our favorite so far is “Noor Kids go to Hajj,” the first book we opened upon our return from Hajj and Umrah. Ya Rabb, Hajj and Umrah Mabror. Ameen.

Much to our surprise, American Muslim Mom is showcased as their website to check out…aww…Subhan Allah!

Also, they made a cartoon of our dear sister in Islam, Chef Yvonne of MyHalalKitchen.com, as she shares tips and a delicious healthy fruit kebob snack!

Interestingly, the book shares aspects outside of Hajj, which we were only able to complete during Umrah with our girls, such as climbing the about 600 steps (that’s it!!?) to reach the Cave of Hira in Jabal Al-Noor. Remember the picture of the baboon overlooking the Kaaba that was taken while climbing up those very steps, subhan Allah!

Long Life on our Islamic Library Shelves

However, even though we had “School is Out For the Summer” last year–we quickly referred to it as someone remembered…”I think…Yes! I’m right!”

One daughter knew I drew pictures of these gorgeous trees in the dessert in my Hajj Journal, then they witnessed it during Hajj. When we returned to the States, they recalled the Noor Kids “Muslims from Around the World” section, “Meet Muddathir from Oman” and he shares “One of my favorite things abut Oman are the cool Frankincense trees!” with a picture of these trees. [This section is noted in the video below.]

The point is: these books are impressionable, memorable, educational and very personal.

Islamic Children’s Books for Kids of ALL Ages

So even though my baby is officially out of Noor Kids’ target range, my whole household of kids aged 9, 11, 12 and undisclosed hubby and I really LOVE this book series!

We will maintain our subscriptions and will do everything we can to get this wonderful Islamic children’s books in the hands of English speaking Little Muslims throughout the U.S. and Canada as our humble starting point.

Brothers Amin and Mohammed are very keen to crowd-sourcing Parental and Kid involvement, feedback, and word of mouth marketing. If you want, you can bring them into your community too by becoming a Partner like us, or use the Affiliate link above, if you have a blog or website.

“Being a Big Hit at the Masjid” – It was during Eid that I shared extra copies for friends of ours. Every mom and kid surrounded us to marvel and enjoy the interactivity created as you flip the pages. Insha’Allah, we pray to make the same impact at our local masajid here in California.

My 3-year-old son, Nuh will love the books simply because of the graphics and its content! We have yet to have books on hajj, blessings and I’m sure he’ll be ecstatic to learn about them – and oh, he loves ka’bah for some reason so it would be great to have a book that has connection to it ;)

    Ponn Sabra Reply:

Subhan Allah! Everything comes from Allah! The reason he loves the Ka’baah is because he feels Allah’s presence! The most sacred of all places: His home here on Earth! Masha Allah.

There are NO words or pictures to express what it means to see it in person too. Ya Rabb May Allah bless you and your family with the opportunity to make Hajj and Umrah. Ameen!!!

  3. As Salaam Alaikum Ponn,

Loved the commentary and thanks for hosting the review/giveaway.

Our goal with Noor Kids from the very beginning was to provide little Muslims in North America with a resource to nurture Islamic education, Muslim culture, and American integration. I’m glad that your team is helping spread the word. Plus, it’s fun to read the comments :-)

    Salam Alaikum,

Honestly, I’m ashamed to say that we don’t have any Islamic books in our growing library as I have always relied on the grandparents to tell stories to my 4 and 2 year old boy and girl. If we don’t win these, I’ll definitely have to buy some books as my lovelies are definitely old enough now to understand the cute Islamic themed concepts. I’m very proud to see the great range of books there are out there these days as they definitely were not there when I was growing up in Pennsylvania. Jazakum Allah Khair.

Khair, insha Allah. Everything takes time. Yes, please read brothers Amin & Mohammed’s stories; being first-generation Muslims in America, the non existence of books caused them to dream big and make their dream a possibility: creating these books for their only sister’s first child when she announced she was newly pregnant.

    So, empowering, huh? Masha Allah!

Both my kids 3 years & 2 years old love reading books. They like when it when it’s so colourful and easy to understand as Noor Kids books. They don’t go to school/nursery yet, that’s why it’s important for me to teach them Islamic knowledge from educational books inshaallah.

  7. Asalaam ‘Alaikum,

I have two older kiddos – another one that is 5 and another little one. The 5 year old – these days – is feeling left out because she is not the baby anymore (someone has taken that spot) and the older kiddos have things that she can’t have or enjoy. It has made her feel somewhat left out.

When I went over to check out the website (I had never heard of this product) I was thrilled – because this could be something I could share with my little one and make her feel special. Finally – something of high quality that I can share with her and help her learn about Islam.

    Jazak Allah Khair,

Making sure every Little Muslim feels like an empowered, confident, enlightened “Noor Kid” is definitely a goal!

As a middle child, and watching my middle daughter find her “special place”…I can totally relate to your daughter’s feelings right now.

As a mommy, please give her a HUGE hug and let her know I also have a feeling she’s going to LOVE Noor Kids. Mubarak you won!
