Homeschoolers Guide To Getting Into College – Facts, Tips & Resource Lists!

| July 3, 2012 | Comments (0)

UniversityI organized a fun-filled ”Day of Aspirations“ which focused on our visit to Harvard University with Daddy and my girls. We anchored our day around the Admissions Office Information Session. My 10-year-old said, “This is the best day ever!” only halfway through the day. Insha’Allah, I’ll write more about our Ivy League Visitation Journey in following posts, but a colleague shared an awesome article entitled “Homeschoolers Guide to Getting Into College.”

As you may remember, I’ve been writing about how Homeschoolers are Extremely Attractive Applicants for Ivy Leagues & Top Tier Universities (Top 50 Universities in the U.S.) So, I’m happy Carol shares some general views to expand further on this topic. Having spent a full-day at Harvard (#1), Princeton (#2), Yale (#3) and Brown (#15, but the only Ivy that has an eight-year BA/MD, Bachelor & Medical Degree program), my girls and I will share our many lessons learned, Insha’Allah. These rankings are from U.S. News 2012.

All the following facts I already knew, so I felt as if she took all my personal research from my brain and outlined it beautifully in this article. I agree with everything written. However, we’re particularly appreciative that Carol researched and found some critical resources to make a comprehensive Homeschool-To-College Tips & Resource List.

So, what do you think of this great resource? Are you interested in college prep? How old are your kids? Are you shooting for the very best? Why or Why not?
