Comprehensive List of 2010 Free Summer Movies for Kids – Nationwide
While the summer weeks months are quickly passing by us, I totally forgot to search for all the possible free flicks my family can enjoy. So, I compiled this new list. Given our economy, it wasn’t a surprise to find that many threatres are now charging a buck or two for admissions. But, be sure to check the fine print of the various websites, because I noticed discounted kids snack packages, rules against size and/or kinds of bags, big purses, first-come first-served rules with door opening times, etc.
Fortunately, we’re still mid-way through July, and all the programs listed below are still running. There are a few that run into late August too.
Free Summer Movies for Kids
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am beginning July 7th for six weeks. BOOKWORM WEDNESDAYS entitles kids to free admission to a select children’s film when they present a book report at a participating Showcase Cinemas, Multiplex Cinemas or Cinema de Lux box office. Accompanying parents or guardians and children under six receive free admission and do not need to submit a book report (click here for the form). Locations. Movie schedule.

June 22- August 18 at 10 am. Locations and movie titles.
June 29th – August 18th. Every Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Two movies to choose from each day! Locations and movie schedule.
May 21 – August 12. Every day at 10am, Cinemaworld features a Family-Friendly G or PG rated film for your kids to enjoy, with new movies premiering on Fridays. Children are FREE. Adults are just $2 or FREE with the donation of a non-perishable pet-food item to benefit the Brevard County Humane Society. Melbourne, FL.

Low Cost Summer Movies
10 a.m. each Tuesday morning this summer at participating theatres, from June 15 through August 10. At only $1 admission, it’s an affordable option for summer fun for families and groups. All admission and concession proceeds will benefit two AMC charities, Variety – The Children’s Charity and the Will Rogers Institute. List of participating threatres.

Classic Cinemas Wednesday Mornings Movie Series – $1
This year the Series will be 9 weeks, and will run every Wednesday starting June 17th – August 12th.The doors will open for the Wednesday Morning Movie Series at 9:00 a.m. (9:30 a.m. at the Lindo Theatre & Cinema 12). Make sure to come early to meet some of your favorite characters and join in on the fun games and activities.
