What’s Your Favorite Chevy Superbowl Ad?

Now, as a Muslim, the Superbowl is a tongue-and-cheek joke that “it’s totally off my radar”–but, really it is! Yeah, but because we hear about it, the frenzy and the preparations, blah blah–it’s really not totally off my radar.

But, in terms of watching it, making a big Ta-Do about it; and all that “You’re So NOT American, if you don’t watch the Superbowl”-baloney…

I’m one with the world-view that “football” is not “American football”, but actually a sport played by the majority of the world that’s actually a ball-game played with one’s foot; which in American English is outlandishly known as “soccer”!

Oh, and as Muslims–we don’t gamble, so all the betting & stuff that goes along with this day…is So Not Cool…No, It’s Haram (Prohibited). The alcohol. The waste of money, resources, and real good ‘ol family time wasted.

Okay, now that being said, I do admit, that some of the best commercials come out on this one day–after all they are paying millions & gazillons of ludicrous dollars to get a share of this targeted audience. No, this does not mean I will flip back and forth to see any of them debut today either!

So, in opening by emailbox and finding out that we can actually get a sneak peak of Chevy’s multiple ads

2. I just clicked on one to see if it was worth my effort to share with you–and well, it was a classic, funny, oh-I-have-to-see-the-rest-of-these-and-share-them-to-see-your-opinions-right-now!

Funny: Oh-I-Want-To-Play-This-Game Ad

I could totally see myself AND hubby doing this to one another, had we given the opportunity to. Expect hubby would not be easily amused share I remotely open and close the door–but, I would love to try!

A Proud Chevy-Owner’s Ad

While, this is not funny, nor doesn’t it have a certain flair or pizzazz, but we are proud Chevy owners! We’re on our second Concorde actually; with a total of about 9-years, so as proud Chevy owners, I say “Enjoy!”

Now, This IS Chevy Really Going Green!

Hah! Now, this one touch a cord about fuel-efficient cars, electric cars & hybrids! Mostly, due in fact that some of the so-called “green” cars, are not very eco-friendly at all. But, please do not get me started–Just Read, People!

Happily, my engineer master hubby well-informed and predicted the craze made by eco-friendly people who would ignorantly follow the wave and just buy–because it’s “Hip to be Green”. Boy, was he right! And, in electronics and trends, he most often; always is. My girls never bought into this sad fad either.

Anyways, I’m SO happy Chevy is sharing how they ARE participating in Eco-Friendly, Green-Programs, renewable energy.

Like dah! Everywhere else in the world is more eco-friendly then us. My girls were amazed that the poor, oppressed, no-running water, electricity or gas everyday Gaza, had solar panels…and America does not! Expect the rich, of course. Why!? Because the lobby-filled-bureaucracy-here-in-the-U.S. prevents U.S. companies and entrepreneurs to actually tap into doing simple things that are truly easy, cheap & Green; such as solar energy, windmill energy (like think Amsterdam, Denmark & Sweden–they’re SO much poorer than the U.S.)

Dude, it’s obvious I’m a bit tired and just don’t want any controversy today (yet, this post may draw it upon myself…)…and in my I’m-so-tired, reply would be “Bring. It. On!” LOL.

Ad Targeting Baby-Boomers…or, at least the Ones Caring For Them

LOL. Hah! Now, just spending 3 months living with my in-laws, then now visiting Daddy for the past couple months–this as is SO classic. Happens to us, every single day. “What!?” “Turn the volume up!”

Well, my girls are telling me ‘Mama, YOU always Say That! My answer, “That’s because I either have a hijab on, I’m cooking & running water, I’m cleaning–or, You’re all just being SO loud! {My humbles excuses for not showing my age…}

Hitting the STEM Inventive Minds Within Us

Well, if you don’t even know that STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering & Math…then, inshaAllah, God willing, your appreciation of Invention, Innovation and Discovery may spark your interest in this ad. But, as my little green-rant above, I wasn’t impressed with the ending…(an electric car).

My 9yo Daughter’s Dream Car is a Pick-Up!

And, given she is our middle-daughter who has the most energy, is totally unafraid of anything, completely adventurous–I think this ad tapped into her brain but because we won’t let our girls be featured in ads, they just picked an actOR and named him “Tommy”. LOL!

Classic-Tacky-Low-Budget Ad That Transforms…

Totally disappointed that the 2 Chevy ads (that’s actually getting the most views), so since I do not agree with either of them as a Muslim-family-fun-site, I did not publish them here.

By the way, I went from the bottom of the list up–because I thought maybe they saved the the best videos for last…and even though according to their top-to-bottom-list where the top ads are actually getting more views, I’m very curious what you think of the Top of My list?

So, watch all the ones above and share which ones you like best.

Am I this totally hyper-critical-mom that’s SO off-the-grid? Or, do you totally appreciate and relate to my commentary!? I curious…til then, watch this Ad Transform to something classic.

Oh, the whipping around of the dude could have been totally down-played. Why was that necessary!?…Oh, I forgot Americans like violence.
