Audio Post Notes:

What do you do to build your children’s self-confidence and self-respect as Muslim kids?

Check out my 79 Ways to Volunteer in a Public School (America).

How we practice Islam and freedom of religion in America, a non-Muslim country, much, much better than here in a Muslim country.

Are you ever worried that your kids will die by a school bomb? Is that too severe of a worry, compared to bullying from a non-Muslim? Ironically, many more problems occur with bullying and poor practices of Muslims, especially here in a Muslim country.

Teaching my kids about humility and how to spend our time and energy wisely for Allah, rather than fear anything or anyone, except Allah’s wrath if we do not obey His commands—be it with non-Muslims, but more importantly non-practicing Muslims.

Be proud, honorable Mu’minym (true believers) always remembering Allah.

Check out our Audio Recording “Changing the Remembrance of Mama to Allah” to see how you can have your kids remember you and Allah, by implementing simple new routines.

Subhanallah, we NEVER faced any of the issues we face here by Muslims in a Muslim country, EVER in an American public school (non-Muslims). However, we did see many of these problems in multiple American Islamic schools, by working, attending or volunteering with four of them directly, and dozens indirectly.

So, what are your fears and worries? How to prevent these things–bullying or the lack of Islamic practice–from happening? How do you work with your kid(s) to live devoutly and humbly? How do you work with school administrations to allow your kids to practice proudly at school? Please share below. My girls and I are very curious to learn the issues your Muslim kid(s) are facing in a non-Muslim or Muslim country school system today. Together, we can discuss ways to help one another, inshaAllah Ta’ala.

    Assalamalikum,

A very interesting topic and something I constantly think about. My baby boy is 10 mo but I’m already worried about his education.I hear horrifying stories about children who go to public schools and I think about enrolling my kid in a private school. But then I know private schools are super expensive. Also, private schools have their set of issues.

I fear negative peer pressure for my kid.I also fear he won’t be able to practice his beliefs and might even be bullied upon.

My adopted kids are half black in a full white county. It’s a at least a weekly ritual for the oldest.
