First Annual Summer Islamic Reading Challenge Prize List

Jazaka Allahu Khayrun (May Allah reward you with goodness) to all our sponsors and partners who donated gifts and prizes for the children who participate in the 1st Annual Summer Islamic Reading Program. You still have time to participate. Any child 1-day old to 22 years of age must read at least one Islamic book (fiction or non-fiction) and write one book review*. Reading review form and journal should be submitted no later than this Friday, August 15, 2009. There’s also still time to “Design a Button” for the Kid’s Coloring Contest too, details can be found here.

Alhumdulilah, every child participating will receive a Muslim themed certificate and Muslim pride stickers. To qualify for a Special Gift please read below for details.

• 1-day – 7 years
• 8 – 15 years
• 16 – 22 years

Listed below are additional prizes and gifts donated by their respective donors.

• Summer Islamic Reading Challenge Certificate of Participation & Muslim pride stickers for all children in all categories.

• 1-day – 7 years: The 1st, 2nd & 3rd child who writes or narrates the most thorough and helpful Islamic book review.*
• 8 – 15 years: The 1st, 2nd & 3rd child who writes or narrates the most thorough and helpful Islamic book review.*
• 16 – 22 years: The 1st, 2nd & 3rd child who writes or narrates the most thorough and helpful Islamic book review.*

• The first 75 children who submits their Reading Review Form & Journal via email (therefore, all answers to the form are typed out) to reviews@americanmuslimmom.com as of August 15, 2009 will receive a $5 gift certificate.

• 16 – 22 years Male: One entry who writes the most thorough and helpful Islamic book review*. [The Prize is actually a chocolate brown XL salaam hoodie with fair pink lettering.]

*Remember: This is not a book report, it’s a review to convince someone to read or not a read a particular book. Your recommendation should detail your honest opinions, thoughtful critiques, and any emotions shared.
